Recently Melissa Inouye and her uncle Charles Inouye were guests at a Faith Matters event in Midway, Utah. The question they were considering is “In what way is the church the ’true and living church’?” Their responses were both personal and deeply insightful.

Melissa Inouye is a professor of Chinese Studies at the University of Auckland, New Zealand, and is also currently working for the LDS church’s History Department. She recently published a truly wonderful book called “Crossings: A Bald Asian AmericanLatter-day Saint Woman Scholar’s Ventures Through Life,Death, Cancer and Motherhood.
