Patrick Mason holds the Leonard J. Arrington Chair of Mormon History and Culture at Utah State University. He is the author or editor of several books, including Planted: Belief and Belonging in an Age of Doubt (Deseret Book/Maxwell Institute, 2015); What Is Mormonism? A Student’s Introduction (Routledge, 2017); and, most recently, Restoration: God’s Call to the 21st- Century World (Faith Matters, 2020). He and his wife Melissa live with their four children in Logan, Utah.
